From 10 to 12 March 2016 we attended Expodental, the international exhibition of equipment, dental products and services held in pavilions 3, 5 and 7 of Feria de Madrid.
Going to Expodental every year, as well as other major world dental fairs (such as the IDS in Cologne, Germany or the Greater New York Dental Meeting in New York) allows us to keep abreast of the latest innovations in materials and Technologies presented by commercial houses. It is also an excellent opportunity to meet with colleagues from other cities and countries, commercials, developers, researchers, etc. To be able to exchange with them knowledge and good moments.
Expodental is held once a year, and this edition has been the largest and most complete call of the dental sector held to date.
325 companies from 34 countries have been able to present their products and novelties along 19,331 square meters of exhibition.
At the exhibition fair of this 2016 edition we have been able to walk the stands of more than 300 companies located in more than 19000 square meters.
In this edition of Expodental has highlighted the integration of new technologies by companies. Optical impression, 3D digital radiology, cad-cam, invisible orthodontics, diagnostic systems, minimally invasive guided implantology, etc.
Expodental is a fair organized by IFEMA (Institución Ferial de Madrid) and promoted by FENIN (Spanish Federation of Health Technology Companies). Also in the framework of Expodental, the General Council of Dentists of Spain, the highest professional representation body in Spain, presented the results of the Oral Health Observatory in Spain, the only research instrument on oral health in Europe, and the White Paper Of the Oral Health, elaborated from 1000 interviews to families in Spain.
The reports presented at Expodental show revealing data, which allow a better understanding of the current situation of Dentistry in Spain. Data, for example, that 40% of Spanish citizens are not concerned about their oral health or that only half have gone to the dentist in the last year.
