Emdogain. Dental bone regeneration

Often if periodontal disease (gum disease) is not treated in time it leads to the loss of material from the bone supporting the teeth. When the resulting bone defect is localised, we can treat it with Emdogain™ in an attempt to regenerate the bone and to recover the force supporting the teeth.

Emdogain™ is a derivative of enamel matrix proteins proven to help regenerate the tissues surrounding teeth (root cement, bone, and periodontal ligament).

The efficacy of Emdogain™ in the treatment of localised bone loss caused by periodontitis has been scientifically verified. It can also promote the healing of gum grafts.
