The latest digital radiography systems offer significant advantages over conventional equipment.
On the one hand they reduce the radiation required to obtain a high quality image. A minimal number of X-rays are emitted; 10 times fewer than traditional X-ray machines, which themselves operate at very low levels of radiation.
It also provides high-definition images directly on the computer screen. The software can modify the contrast and colours, magnify areas of the radiovisiography, take measurements, measure densities, etc. Furthermore, images develop almost instantaneously.
The Digora® digital radiography system provides yet more benefits. It uses the finest sensors available on the market (similar to the thickness of a conventional X-ray) and, unlike other radiovisiography systems, it does not need any wires to connect the sensor to the computer.
In addition, digital dental radiography systems do not rely on development fluids, which are contaminants, and so the equipment is friendlier to the environment.
All of these advantages mean we can perform rapid, accurate, comfortable, versatile, non-contaminating intra-oral X-rays with minimal levels of radiation.
