Porcelain veneers
Very durable dental aesthetics
Porcelain veneers, or also known as ceramic veneers, are fine aesthetic layers that are applied by coating the visible part of the teeth to achieve an excellent improvement of the appearance of the smile. They allow changing the shape, color and position of natural teeth.
The best porcelain veneers today behave very much like natural enamel. They can adhere with extraordinary strength to the dental enamel, do not wear out, do not stain and do not change color over time.
We have all the porcelain veneers and the latest techniques, so that we can use in each case the most appropriate procedure for your case.
We have been directing Advanced Dental Esthetics postgraduates for many years, from where we teach other dentists to handle these cases correctly, from the study (DSD), the confection, the preparation and the placement to its maintenance. All steps are important and require a lot of skill, knowledge, technology and adequate materials in order to achieve as a result a beautiful and natural smile for many years.
If you are thinking of improving your smile, do not hesitate to contact us so we can evaluate your case properly and without compromise.

Frequently asked questions about porcelain veneers
What can dental veneers do for my teeth?
Porcelain veneers can improve a number of tooth imperfections, including blemishes, discolorations and even some misalignment. Unlike crowns, ceramic veneers do not cover the entire tooth, they are custom made to fit in a partial area of the tooth. Dental veneers are made to look natural and equal to teeth, you may forget that they are not the real ones.
Are they a good choice?
Porcelain veneers are made-to-measure with a mold of your teeth that we will create in the dental consultation. They are specifically designed for the best possible fit on your tooth, and are fixed with an extremely durable dental cement so they can stay in place for years. It is certainly a better choice than composite veneers.
Do the ceramic veneers have a natural appearance?
Yes. The porcelain veneers are made of a very strong ceramic material and tinted tone to match the rest of your teeth. They are built to resemble natural teeth.
How is the procedure of placing the ceramic veneers?
The process of placement of porcelain veneers usually involves two visits to the dentist: one to prepare the affected tooth for the best placement and to create a mold of the teeth and a second visit to place the dental veneer and check that the tonality corresponds to that of the neighboring teeth. Both visits take place within two to three weeks of each other. In some cases, the dentist can perform it in a single visit through the use of CEREC technology.
Is the placement of dental veneers uncomfortable or painful?
They are placed using a local anesthetic to numb the treated areas, and your dentist will do everything possible to make it as painless as possible.
How long do porcelain veneers last?
Porcelain veneers are known for their long-lasting result compared to composite veneers. In fact, the veneers have lasted decades, and even in many patients all their life.
Can porcelain dental veneers be tinted with tea, coffee, and wine?
Ceramic veneers never stain, however, you should continue to use the same hygiene and maintenance procedures that you used on your teeth before having the veneers.
If I have upper teeth with dental veneers, can my lower teeth look a different color?
This is a factor that will be analyzed with your dentist in the evaluation and design of the smile so that the veneers are the same color as the rest of the teeth. The majority of patients usually decide to perform a whitening on the lower teeth to achieve a matched color and ensure a better final result.
What will I feel after the veneers?
The sensation will be more smooth, similar to glass. Some patients may experience sensitivity to cold during the first few days and then it disappears. Above all, you will notice a great improvement in your dental esthetics.
What foods can I eat and which ones should I avoid?
In general you can eat all kinds of foods but soft foods are recommended during the first few days. After that initial period there is no limitation.
Can I brush my teeth after the placement of the ceramic veneers?
Yes, you can brush your teeth as normal as you have been doing so far and use dental floss.
