From November 27th to November 28th we’ve attended a course about the BOPT technique (Biologically Oriented Preparation Technique) given by it’s creator, Dr. Ignacio Loi, from Italy, and by Dr. Xavier Vela and Dr. Xavier Rodriguez, at the BORG centre in Viladecans (Barcelona).
The BOPT technique allows us to improve the position, the health, the thickness, the stability and the aesthetics of the gums by changing some procedures while preparing our aesthetic prostheses (crowns, ceramic bridges, porcelain veneers, aesthetic restorations, fillings, build ups, etc.)
The logical application of some biological concepts to the design of our dental restorations allows us to get better results, with improved aesthetics and long term stability.
By following this concepts we can get healthier and more beautiful smiles for many years.
The course allowed us to learn all the details of this technique. We could also learn some practical tips to perform it in a simple and predictable way.
From here we would like to congratulate all the BORG team for their excellent organization of the course, which was distributed in a theoretical part, a hands on practical section and a clinical real live treatment of one patient. We would also like to thank the team for their enthusiasm, care and passion to communicate and their love they put in the things they do.
