The team of the Dental Clinic Padr\u00f3s visits the great dentistry fair in Madrid<\/h2>\n

From 10 to 12 March 2016 we attended Expodental<\/strong>, the international exhibition of equipment, dental products and services held in pavilions 3, 5 and 7 of Feria de Madrid.<\/p>\n

Going to Expodental every year, as well as other major world dental fairs (such as the IDS in Cologne, Germany or the Greater New York Dental Meeting in New York) allows us to keep abreast of the latest innovations in materials and Technologies presented by commercial houses. It is also an excellent opportunity to meet with colleagues from other cities and countries, commercials, developers, researchers, etc. To be able to exchange with them knowledge and good moments.<\/p>\n

Expodental is held once a year, and this edition has been the largest and most complete call of the dental sector held to date.
325 companies from 34 countries have been able to present their products and novelties along 19,331 square meters of exhibition.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

In this edition of Expodental has highlighted the integration of new technologies by companies. Optical impression, 3D digital radiology, cad-cam, invisible orthodontics<\/strong>, diagnostic systems, minimally invasive guided implantology, etc.<\/p>\n

Expodental is a fair organized by IFEMA<\/strong> (Instituci\u00f3n Ferial de Madrid) and promoted by FENIN<\/strong> (Spanish Federation of Health Technology Companies). This edition was inaugurated by the Minister of Health, Social Services and Equality, Mr. Alfonso Alonso. The Expodental Hall was also attended by Mr. Jes\u00fas S\u00e1nchez Martos, Minister of Health.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

As a novelty this year, the presentation of Portugal as a Guest Country. An initiative that offers a series of advantages oriented to facilitate the visit to the fair of the professionals of our neighboring country.
In addition, in collaboration with the British Dental Industry Association (BDIA)<\/strong> and the UK Embassy, \u200b\u200bthey have launched an initiative through which various UK companies interested in distributing their products in the UK have been invited. Spanish market. The Welcome Day to the Expodental Fair was chaired by Simon Manley, United Kingdom’s Ambassador to Spain and was attended by Edmund Proffitt, Director of Public Affairs and Policy of the BDIA, among other personalities.<\/p>\n

Also in the framework of Expodental, the General Council of Dentists of Spain, the highest professional representation body in Spain, presented the results of the Oral Health Observatory in Spain, the only research instrument on oral health in Europe, and the White Paper Of the Oral Health, elaborated from 1000 interviews to families in Spain.<\/p>\n

The reports presented at Expodental show revealing data, which allow a better understanding of the current situation of Dentistry in Spain. Data, for example, that 40% of Spanish citizens are not concerned about their oral health or that only half have gone to the dentist in the last year.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, experts indicate that one of the main barriers of the visit to the dentist is the fear that carries a very important part of the population. That is why up to 45.5% of Spaniards prefer to consciously sacrifice their oral health rather than go to the dentist’s office.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

In response to this, more and more techniques, technologies and materials appear that allow us to carry out shorter, less invasive, more precise and more comfortable treatments. At Cl\u00ednica Dental Padr\u00f3s we have been very aware of these data for a long time, and we are always very aware of any new developments in this regard.<\/p>\n

Some advances have also been made in natural treatments, treatments of snoring and sleep apnea, systems of magnification to obtain excellent finishes, novelties in aesthetic treatments, etc.
We have attended at Expodental to present the new version of porcelain veneers lumineers, which allow to improve the appearance of the smile without having to prepare the teeth, and we have taken advantage to acquire the new machine of teeth whitening in a single session.
